National Grid’s Priority Services Register

offers help and support during a power cut.

Are you prepared for the unexpected?

Extreme weather events, such as floods and heat waves, can cause power cuts. NEP’s Power Up Health service and the National Grid are here to help.

Support through the Priority Services Register can include:

  • Support to help you prepare for a power cut if you rely on medical equipment such as an oxygen concentrator.

  • Information and support during a power cut, including getting your power reconnected. PSR registration does not guarantee that your power will be restored more quickly.

  • A pre-agreed password, where available, to help you identify genuine visitors.

  • Advance notice, where possible, of planned electricity disruptions.

  • A dedicated number to call in the event of a power cut.

  • Additional support from the British Red Cross for customers who may be vulnerable during a power cut.
