Neil Alcock - Energy & Environmental Manager - Facilities Directorate - Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust

Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust have worked with NEP on a number of projects over the last few years, including an energy opportunities survey of Rampton Hospital, a behavior change event, talking to our sustainability steering group and currently in surveying a number of our buildings for solar energy potential. I have been impressed with NEPs work and their understanding of not only technology but also in particular there in depth knowledge and commitment to supporting carbon reduction within the NHS environment.  If NEP are awarded a contract I would be keen to work with them again on any of the projects in the phase 2 carbon reduction programme.

NEPs surveyors have been expert and reliable and NEPs advice, guidance and breadth of expertise has provided us with significant added value. We are currently interested in gas CHP for a number of sites and would be pleased to work with NEP surveyors to assess the feasibility for this.

Alan Dakin - Operations Manager - Derbyshire Health Care Foundation Trust

The Derbyshire Healthcare Trust have been working with the Nottingham Energy Partnership to deliver and advise on carbon reduction projects within the Trust. Much of the work for the Trusts first PV installation has been carried out and we are looking to complete the installation early in our new financial year. Having previously experienced problems with smart metering the knowledge and experience of Nottingham Energy Partnership in this field has shaped our thinking for future metering and progress with their help will be made in the next few months. We look forward to carrying on our involvement with them with the knowledge that their participation with other organisations will stand us in good stead with our decisions for future developments.

Mark Evans - Energy Manager - Leicester Partnership Trust

Leicester Partnership Trust have worked with the Nottingham Energy Partnership on the development of our initial 2011-12 Carbon Management Plan. We are looking forward to working with them on assessment of a number of our buildings for voltage optimization, AMR and renewable energy technologies. We have been impressed with NEPs work and are confident that they will be able to deliver a robust and independent programme of analysis and practical delivery. We will be happy to participate in a programme that uses the best examples of good practice in the region, such as our recent investment in gas AMR technology, to make a compelling case for wider investment in energy cost and carbon saving technologies.

Robert Nettleton.   C’Eng. MBA. B’Eng Hon’s. FIHEEM. - Strategic Estates Advisor (Midlands)

I have worked with and been supported by Nottingham Energy Partnership for over twelve months on a range sustainability projects and CO2/ energy mapping and scoping exercises across NHS organisations in East Midlands.  This has covered a broad range of issues including engineering solutions, waste management, transport, and procurement.

During this time I have found NEP to be highly motivated and committed to sustainability agenda and the NHS as a customer, they have provided an excellent professional service that offers very good value for money.

I have no hesitation in recommending NEP for further work in this field.

Lorraine Holme - Programme Manager, Sustainable Development - Department of Health

It is very positive that Nottingham Trusts have sought to take this proactive step in looking at their carbon emissions and measures/ways in which it can be reduced and improved.

Helen Ross - Senior Public Health Manager - The Directorate of Public Health and Social Care East Midlands - Department of Health

(Referring to the East Midlands Carbon Reduction Project Phase I, which NEP was successfully contracted to deliver for the DH East Midlands):

“This is a fantastic project, ahead of its time, and is anatural pilot for the East Midlands NHS Trusts. The financial and carbon savings can be easily replicated through the EM NHS SD network”.

David Bailey - Supplies Manager - NHS Nottinghamshire County

I have worked with NEP for the last 18 months and during that time they have demonstrated an excellent knowledge of sustainable procurement, have helped the Trust develop tools and templates for use within the Procurement process, have helped achieve continuous improvement and have put in place Sustainable procurement monitoring/improvement KPIs.  When required NEP have provided professional advice and support and have consistently worked to a very high standard.

I would have no hesitation in recommending them as the Provider of choice.

Jennifer Cawkwell - General Manager - Property Asset Management - NHS Nottinghamshire County

Nottinghamshire Energy Partnership (NEP) have effectively, efficiently and enthusiastically supported NHS Nottinghamshire County via a two year Service Level Agreement to calculate its carbon footprint using the DEFRA methodology and to  develop a comprehensive action plan to reduce carbon emissions and expenditure.

NEP provide expert knowledge on all aspects of sustainability and carbon management complemented by commitment and aptitude to share,   explain and embed this expertise with their client organisations.  Their work with NHS Nottinghamshire County and City has enabled them to gain insight into the organisation and culture of the NHS which will prove invaluable in working with the wider NHS in the East Midlands. I wish them success with their tender.

Mike Alexander - Director of Finance - NHS Nottinghamshire County

(Referring to the PCT Carbon Reduction Project)

NHS Nottinghamshire County has benefitted greatly from involvement in this exciting project which has enabled the organisation to establish its carbon footprint and to develop an innovative action plan which will save carbon and expenditure which will contribute to improving the health and well-being of Nottinghamshire residents.

Andrew Hall - Head of Partnerships and Health Improvement - NHS Nottingham City

NEP is currently delivering our Carbon Reduction Project (jointly for NHS Nottingham City and NHS Nottinghamshire County).  During the time I have been leading this contract for NHS Nottingham City NEP has employed a strong programme management approach in the delivery of this contract, with a clear plan and milestones which have been achieved and managed through effective project meetings and client liaison.  NEP has also been able to respond, within this contract, to a number of additional requests for advice, information and support that were not specified at the outset and delivered on these in full to the client’s satisfaction.  If NEP is successful in winning this tender process then I would have no hesitation in supporting that decision.

Sultan Anibaba, RIBA, MRICS, MAPM - Head of Estates and Facilities - NHS Nottingham City

(Re: NHS Carbon Reduction Project – Nottingham Energy Partnership):

Nottingham City PCT has since 2008 worked on Carbon and Natural Resource Management as part of a comprehensive Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility initiative with invaluable support from The Nottingham Energy Partnership.

Their support and diligence at both a strategic and practical level across the whole range of natural resource use including waste management, energy management and carbon reduction has facilitated us in becoming one of the few NHS organisations in the country to achieve level 3 in the Audit commissions Use of Natural resources.

We have also been finalists for 3 national awards and achieved significant excellent press.

In my role, I have found NEP to be highly professional, motivated and committed to the sustainability agenda and the NHS.

NEP have provided expert support and advise to the PCT over the years, and the fact that they are always ready to go the extra mile means that they offer superb value for money.

I will always be happy to undertake further work with NEP.
