Warm Front Grant Scheme
The Warm Front Grant scheme provides a package of measures to improve energy efficiency and heating within the home.
This includes insulation and heating improvements up to the value of £2,700 (or £4,000 if oil central heating is recommended). It is a Government-funded initiative and the scheme is managed by eaga.
If you own your own home, rent it from a private landlord or are in shared ownership with a Housing Association, you may be eligible for a grant under the Warm Front Scheme.
Eligibility
Householders aged 60 or over AND who are in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:
- Income Support
- Council Tax Benefit
- Housing Benefit
- Job Seekers Allowance
- Pension Credit
Householders who have children under 16 OR are pregnant after 26 weeks, AND are also in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:
- Income Support
- Council Tax Benefit
- Housing Benefit
- Job Seekers Allowance
- Child Tax Credit with an income of less than £15,460
Householders in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:
- Disability Living Allowance
- Attendance Allowance
- Working Tax Credit which must include a disability premium and with income less than £15,460
- Housing Benefit which includes a disability premium
- Income Support which includes a disability premium
- Council Tax which includes a disability premium
- War Disablement Pension which includes a mobility supplement
- Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit which includes constant Attendance Allowance
What measures are available under Warm Front 2?
Depending on your heating system and the construction of your home, the measures available can include:
- Cavity wall insulation
- Loft insulation
- Draughtproofing
- Hot water tank jacket
- Energy advice
- Heating improvements
- Low energy light bulbs
- Installation of central heating
