    About NEP

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Marketing Officer to join Nottingham Energy Partnership (NEP).

NEP is a Queens Award winning charity for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, the highest accolade for a UK business.  We are always looking for energetic, motivated individuals to join our team.

Our core activity is to deliver schemes that reduce fuel poverty within the private sector across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We also have a commercial arm that makes businesses more sustainable with contracts spanning England and Wales.

    Our Services:

NEP is a key partner in two European funded programmes, one, a Smart Cities demonstration project called REMOURBAN based in Sneinton, and the second, SENSIBLE, an Energy Storage domestic research project in the Meadows.

Our longest standing affordable warmth scheme Nottinghamshire Healthy Housing Service (NHHS), focuses on reducing energy bills and raising the thermal efficiency of private homes.  It offers a wealth of free and subsidised home improvements including loft and cavity wall insulation, solid wall insulation, heating improvements and their latest service, home visits for vulnerable households.  Their outcomes are linked very closely with health, and have received funding for over 15 years from public health within Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

NHHS is constantly expanding and building its service range through new contracts and partnerships and has just had confirmation that it will be funded for a further three years through its public health funders with match funding from NEP.

The charity also educates the public and NHS frontline staff on energy efficiency and fuel poverty through community energy workshops and their bespoke ‘Improving Health through Warmer Homes’ training course.

NEP has a 37% share in Nottinghamshire’s first community owned solar farm, located in Colston Bassett.

NEP employs 11 staff and an additional team of self employed Technical Surveyors. Our operations are governed by a Board of Trustees.
