Nottinghamshire Healthy Housing in ALEO Magazine
15 December 2016
Nottingham Energy Partnership's longest running affordable warmth programme, Nottinghamshire Healthy Housing Service, has been included
in this season's ALEO magazine.
ALEO News is the news magazine of the Association of Local Energy Officers (ALEO), published three times a year by the ALEO National Secretariat and circulated to local authority energy efficiency, climate change and fuel poverty officers as well as other interested parties throughout the UK.
The emphasis of our article is to highlight safety and health issues (carbon monoxide poisoning) associated with an old inefficient boiler that is not serviced regularly.
Healthy Housing have devised their own boiler schemes that include a subsidised boiler replacement scheme - the customer receives £400 off an 'A' rated boiler (this is
subsidised by NEP), a free and subsidised Boiler Servicing scheme and have also set up a referral stream with NPower so the most vulnerable households in Nottinghamshire can access a brand new 'A' rated boiler free of charge.
Nottinghamshire Healthy Housing Service is funded by public health within
Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and NEP.
